PRIZE: Critique of your YA or Adult novel's first chapter AND a signed copy of Jana's novel, My Half of the Sky
Jana McBurney-Lin lived half her adult life in Asia where she wrote for media in seven countries, including National Public Radio, Writer's Digest, United Airlines, Islands Magazine, Singapore Straits Times, and The Japan Times. Her first novel (My Half of the Sky, KOMENAR 2006) which focuses on a contemporary young Chinese woman trying to be modern in the midst of village tradition, was given numerous literary awards. Additionally it was chosen as a National Booksense August Pick of the Month and Forbes Book Club Pick.

Jenni is an award winning writer and poet. She creates stories that entertain children of all ages, but has a special place in her heart for picture books, especially if they rhyme. She's an active member of SCBWI.
