CRITTER: Lori Polydoros ~ Author of over 60 stories and books for kids

PRIZE: One Middle-Grade novel critique, first three chapters

Lori Polydoros is a children's author and freelance writer. She's uncontrollably addicted to traveling the unbeaten path, often taking her family, and sometimes their three unruly (yet lovable) dogs too!

Lori's written over 60 stories and books for kids. She pens non-fiction series about animals and extreme sports, writes fiction and non-fiction for the library and educational market. Lori's published many stories in the Los Angeles Times Kids' Reading Room page. But most of all, Lori loves writing novels for middle grade readers, many of which are set in unusual places around the world.

At home, Lori presents at author festivals all over Southern California, and teaches creative writing classes wherever she can. She speaks Spanish, and has learned some Swahili and Greek. Lori loves to camp in the Sierras and on the beach, hike, snorkel, run, dance, draw, and sing...and eat Mediterranean food with her family.
